Today I'm doing an overview of the mascaras I currently own and telling you my thoughts about them. I don't have any high end brands at the minute, though I've tried some before and they didn't really make the difference. Here is the picture of the ones I own: |
Elf Mineral Infused Mascara, Elf Lengthening and Defining Mascara, Gosh Serious Volume Mascara, Maybilline Pulse Perfection Mascara |
There are a lot of different mascara brands out there and some of you may really like one and somebody else may absolutely hate it depending on what effect you want to achieve.
Whatever Mascara I used it always wasn't good enough for me so I still don't have a favourite and I'm still trying to find one. I naturally have very short and light eye lashes that aren't very thick either. I have tried conditioning them with different oil and it has never done anything different to my lashes.
You can see how my lashes look without any mascara below.
Now each mascara applied to my lashes
Elf Mineral Infused Mascara £3.50
As you can see this mascara looks very natural on my lashes. You won't get extreme length or volume with this mascara. This will definitely work for someone who has naturally long lashes. I quite like this for every day and it doesn't give you clumpy lashes. I think I will use this and repurchase this for everyday looks. I find it good quality for what you pay.
Elf Lengthening and Defining Mascara £1.50
This one is a bit clumpy on my lashes and I really didn't like the brush in this mascara, The brush and mascara itself does look cheap, but I do think this isn't bad result for such a price. I prefer a more natural finish of Mineral Infused Mascara so I probably stick with the Mineral version.
Maybilline Pulse Perfection Mascara
I don't think it is sold in drugstores anymore. I got my in a shop with reduced cosmetics so I assume these are just leftovers as they aren't produced anymore. I got this mascara for a cheap price. I think I was desperate for a mascara at that point. You can see how my lashes tuck together and it looks like I haven't got a lot of them. I think it's ok if you see this, it's cheap and you urgently need a mascara but I won't probably use this anymore.
Gosh Serious Volume Mascara £7.49
To be honest I got this one because there was an offer of free mono eyeshadow with this mascara, which I really liked. The application isn't very neat but I think you can make it work. My eyelashes do look a bit clumpy, but to be honest, this is the only way I can achieve more volume and length to my lashes. This is usable for now and isn't bad at all, but I don't think I will stick to it and will probably purchase something else to try next time.
Great post, love! I really enjoyed reading this and seeing the difference that the mascaras make. Both of them make your lashes stand out, although you're right about the clumping with the second mascara. I've never tried the ELF Infused one, but I have naturally long lashes, so I might give that one a try! Thanks for sharing :D
ReplyDeleteThank you very much xx Well I think both mascaras are worthy for the price really..) I wish I had naturally long lashes hehe bet you don't have problems with them :)
